---
BERKELEY, Nov. 7 --Berkeley Council No. 1499, Knights of Colummbus, was instituted yesterday with a membership of fifty before 1000 visiting members.

Assisted by the state drill team, Neal Power, grand knight for the district of California, initiated the Berkeley candidates. The Oakland degree team, led by Frank M. Cerini, grand knight of the Oakland council, put the Berkeley candidates through the first degree. The exemplification of the second degree followed, the San Francisco team, led by Grand Knight J. E.
